Our story

As a mother of two kids , to mostly lovely albeit a little bit cheeky, children and a broad background that includes children’s social care and qualifications in personal training and health-related exercises for children, I have always taken a strong interest in our little mini-me’s.

A London girl at heart my own parents were in the textile manufacturing business for years, and their passion for textiles passed down me. 

At  the age of  23 I was lucky enough to live abroad for 9 years and had a successful Ladies fashion line.

I like to think, that this company, is a combination  of my biggest  passions: textiles and children.

So The Great British Teepee Company really began when my son, George, was asking for yet another pegged up blanket den, consisting of my dining table and chairs. I think that's when had my eureka moment, and from then The Great British Teepee company was born. 

I thought, why not make something that’s portable, fun and looks good all whilst encouraging the endless possibilities of play, and if I'm really lucky he may sit in there with a book!

I searched and searched for my talented sewing team, and all products were tested to CE regulations, as well as a rigorous testing process by my son, George. He is just as partial to a floral ditsy print as he is a minimal stripe!
